SavHealth
1. We are trying to reduce mortality rate especially for traumatic patients by reducing the time needed in patient identification, patient transfer at the right time at right health facilities with the right personnel.
2. We are going to create a system that will use fingerprint inpatient identification for the unconscious patients and give vital medical records (blood group, allergies…) It will connect hospitals in the whole country, medical professionals, medical insurances and national identification agency.
This will make easily transfer of patient in right time and at appropriate nearest hospital with enough equipment and even medical professionals able to handle the case.
3. SavHealth if used world widely would decrease mortality rate and even disability caused by delayed intervention of traumatic patients.
Injuries claimed 4.9 million lives in 2016. More than a quarter (29%) of these deaths were due to road traffic injuries worldwide (source: WHO). In Rwanda trauma related injuries take 11-22% of all deaths countrywide. More than 90% of mortality of world’s death from injuries occurs in LMICs(Low to Middle Income countries).
One of the biggest causes of these mortality rates rise is due to delay, lack of a precise referring system, unreliable communication between hospitals, doctors with lack of facilities and infrastructures. Delay is unreliably caused mainly by poor communication of health care providers with hospitals, transferring patients from one hospital to another, to hospitals with lack of skilled personnel, without hospital beds and in turn patients die in that process. Others also die due to medical errors in drug administration that hurts the patients due to lack of medical records pre-shared by the ambulance before bringing the emergency. Other patients die in the process of trying to find their identification, insurance
We are serving the communities in our regions East Africa that face catastrophic and preventable deaths in pre-hospital care, transportation systems, hospital care in emergency departments or after hospitalization. We are working closely with medical students as well as professionals with the knowledge and experience in the field, space and exposure while facing these challenges each day, and witnessing these preventable catastrophic deaths.

Our solution offers the trauma patient a chance to get appropriate medical attention with based personalized profiles generated by the fingerprint, medical records, Insurance cover and appropriate Hospital patient transfer.
The System in a matter of seconds after introducing a patients finger print, provides and displays A personal profile (Name, Age, Date of Birth, Location, next of keen) and also an existing medical record specifying previous health conditions with treatments provided by the Insurance database. The trauma patient status (Type of Injury & Glasgow Coma Scale) will be added to the options hence displaying nearby Hospitals (tracked by GPS) with the right standards and services to manage the trauma patient specific status by specialized doctors.
For Example, for an unconscious patient with a head injury, that has a paracetamol intolerance. He will be identified using a fingerprint, to identify the social profile, linked to the insurance profile (medical records), giving the first health care provider on the patient to alert the emergency department sending the details of the patient with paracetamol intolerance and in turn the emergency department will carefully handle the process.
