INTELLIGENCE SECURITY SYSTEM

We are enthusiastic about fixing our nation's current prevailing challenge of insecurity and insurgency.

We propose the creation of an intelligent security system with several compartment such as; an Intelligent security agency, intelligent security drones, autonomous security checkpoints and intelligent security devices (for personal, home and work place security) to solve insecurity.

Lot of lives are wasting daily as a result of insurgent groups in the nation. This has led to fear among an average Nigeria. Our solution will revive the hope that has been lost in terms of living safely and peacefully. It will definitely wipe fear and tears from the hearts and eyes of Nigerians.

It is observed that urban settlement suffer high risk of security threats because of the population and various activities going on. These threats  can affect the mental health of people in such settlements. In order to promote mental health among urban settlers it is crucial to put in place systems that will check every form of security threat.

Generally, is the most basic problems we face daily. We also have a real life experience of this problem and have ones at some point in time suffered from its adverse effects. So, we decided to be on the solvers side so that generations that will come after ours would not suffer the same.

The rate of kidnapping, murder armed robbery in Lagos State, Rivers State, Borno State and other developing urban settlements in Nigeria is alarming. Successful implementation of the intelligent security system will bring relief and smile on the faces of those living in those settlement, this will also give way for further development.

Intelligence Security Devices (ISDs): The small electronic gadgets that can be used to report security threatening activities, and threats.

Intelligent Security Checkpoints (ISCs): Like other security checkpoints are located at the entry, exit and other strategic locations in the settlement. Unlike other checkpoints it is autonomous in functionality. It prevent suspicious vehicles from getting across.

Intelligent security surveillance drones(ISSDs):are drones with the ability to receive signals from places under security threat in the settlement and automatically move there to capture the events going on there and sending a feedback to the Intelligence Security Agency (ISA).

A network of all these components make up the Intelligent Security System

There's a security agency which serves as a central base that monitors every activity that goes on in the settlement by means of a Visual Display (Liquid crystal or Plasma) that displays every location in the settlement with ability to receive crucial data from area under security threat via other security gadgets connected to it, like the intelligent security drones, the Help me and  Help us and the intelligent security check points. The approach in which some existing technologies are used in our is what makes our solution innovative.

The intelligent security network uses, intelligent security drones(this will pick up signals from individuals who are in trouble or in areas where there is a security threat to capture the nature of the situation and the send on time signal to the intelligent security agency). Our solution also involve gadgets that use trackers and are equally able to send signal to the intelligent agency when it's user is in trouble. Also, the checkpoints uses AI and an magnified structure of the X- ray scanners used in air ports and other material detectors. Street CCTV cameras with face detection ability. All the components in the security network uses AI.

With the aid of the 'On Street CCTV cameras with face detection' every activity going on in the settlement can be monitored and every event can be tracked. The 'help me' and 'help us' to be used to be used by individuals, homes and organizations for an on time report of any security threat in the area to the intelligent security agent, once the intelligent security drone picks a signal, it moves to the target location and reports the exact nature of the current situation to the security agents, this will help the security agent understand the situation better and to the best approach to tackling the problem, this will also reduce kidnapping, armed robbery, fire outbreaks etc. 

The intelligent security checkpoints will prevent carriage of unauthorized gadgets, instruments,weapons and objects into and within the settlement. Implementing our solution will greatly reduce security threat as everyone and area will be on guard.

The number of people we are serving is currently zero (0), because our solution is still an idea.

The number of people we’ll be serving in one year is about 484,798.

The number we’ll be serving in five years is about 17 million people.

Within the next year our goal is to establish our solution completely in a growing urban settlement, Akure, Ondo State. Nigeria. Providing resident confidence of a secured environment. And building a community around our solution.

Within the next five years, aside providing a secured and a violent free environment for Nigerians, we also look up to creating Jobs for the people especially for Computer Engineers, Electrical and Electronic Engineers, this which we look forward to achieve by establishing organizations that will manufacture and develop these technologies and also by building an empire/community around them(Production, Transportation, Implementation, Care and maintenance etc.). We look foward to reducing the work load on the force men and women who stand under scorching sun and in cold night ensuring tight security by harnessing appropriate technologies.

For the next year, the major financial barrier will arise from lack of sponsors for implementation of our solution.

We also don't have technical equipment and technologies to develop the components of our solution.

There are currently no legal barriers save that our solution may require that the government agencies of the area where we intend to implement our solution will need to grant some permit. And also, to establish some regulations to enhance our solution to the maximum.

The only barriers we intuit we might encounter in the next five years is the technical and legal barriers. This is because our solution is such that, after it's been applied in a particular settlement, all the whole process needs to iterate in the next area of implementation. Also, as time goes by there might be needs for adjustment or improvement of the technology in our solution hence, a need for an improved technical capacity.

To overcome the financial barrier, we'll venture into several modes of fund raising including seeking sponsors and investors, applying for grants, seeking support from family and friends, fundraising campaigns etc.

We look forward to networking with existing organizations that can help us develop the components of our solution and as a result will help our team have the technical know how's of developing those components which will give us more chances of being independent to a good extent in the future.

Convincingly presenting our solution to the government agencies of the location of implementation, stating clearly the potency of our solution in tackling prevailing challenges, will give us access to their acceptance and approval of our solution, giving us leverage to implement our solution.

We'll seek sponsorship from notable organizations situated on the area where our solutions would be implemented. Secondly, we'll sell out the components of our to the government and organizations and individuals that will use them. This will make our solution financially sustainable.

We are really passionate about proffering solutions to the problems in our Nation. We are just students and lack the financial capability of bringing our ideas to reality. We believe that solve can help us bring our dream of fixing our nation to reality by supporting us with finance and connecting us with people across the globe that will help us bring our visions to accomplishment.

The security systems proposed in our solution will require AI to function  perfectly. for example, the drones are not supposed to be controlled by any human. The security check point also will require advanced computing technique and AI for proper implementation.

Should we be granted this prize, I and my team plan to embed in the on street CCTV cameras and gun sound detector such that information from the camera's will be sent to the security agents the source of gun shot, this will help the security agents address the situation easily and will reduce gun violence in the settlement

Also, the intelligent security checkpoints will help to prevent vehicles with unauthorized weapons from getting in or out of the settlement allowing only security agents to posses guns.

Finally, we will use the fund to improve our solution by developing a system that will specially prevent gun owners or those who posses guns and other security threatening weapons like granades and explosives on them from gaining access to places of large population such as markets, schools, banks, parks and recreational centres.
