Solveathon hosted by Solve and General Motors

MIT Solve, in partnership with General Motors, will be hosting a Solveathon on June 27 at the GM Tech Center. A Solveathon is a highly interactive design workshop aimed at developing and improving great solutions to global challenges. You will join fellow problem solvers in a fast-paced ideation session to work on big, bold ideas that create truly sustainable impact for our planet, its people and communities.

If you are interested in attending, email solve@mit.edu.

This event will be facilitated by MIT Solve staff and focus on generating fresh ideas and refining solutions from the Metro Detroit community in response to two Solve Challenges:

  • Circular EconomyHow can people create and consume goods that are renewable, repairable, reusable, and recyclable?

  • Community-Driven InnovationHow can citizens and communities create and improve social inclusion and shared prosperity?

You do not need to be directly working on issues related to circular economy community-driven innovation or community-driven innovation or a particular idea to participate – we welcome a multitude of skills and expertise in the room. We look forward to hosting you at the GM Tech Center, and to collaborating on solutions to create positive, lasting change.

Regardless of whether you attend the event, anyone can submit a solution to Solve’s Challenges, and expanding our reach will help us find the most promising solutions.
