Global Challenge Design Workshop
Virtual EventGlobal Challenge Design Workshop
Join social and environmental impact leaders to shape MIT Solve's 2021 Challenges during this Challenge Design Workshop to be held Wednesday, December 2, 2020, 9:00-11:00am EST (3-5pm CET) through Zoom.
Solve is an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a mission to solve world challenges. Solve is a marketplace for social impact innovation. Through open innovation Challenges, Solve finds incredible tech-based social entrepreneurs all around the world. Solve then brings together MIT’s innovation ecosystem and a community of Members to fund and support these entrepreneurs to help them drive lasting, transformational impact.
Solve has identified the following working themes as potential areas to be discussed as we gather input into the design of the 2021 Global Challenges:
Health Security & Pandemics
Conservation & Nature-Based Solutions
Economic Justice & Equality
Safe & Quality Learning Environments
Each year, we rely on the expertise and experience of the global community to validate, shape, and refine working themes into Global Challenges. This discussion is a set of interactive and facilitated conversations with participants from around the world. We'll surface the most important topics around these themes along with potential obstacles and solutions to addressing those challenges globally. The aim is to ensure the selection of Global Challenges that have the scale to impact millions, as well as a space for unique contribution and collaboration around these important topics.
This event is open to Members of the Solve community. If you are interested in attending or learning more about Membership, please email solve@mit.edu.
