Circular North America, a WCEFonline Side Event
Virtual EventCircular North America, a WCEFonline Side Event
Join stakeholders from Canada, the US, and Mexico to identify opportunities for progress and innovation towards circularity in North America.
In preparation for hosting the World Circular Economy Forum in 2021, Environment and Climate Change Canada and the United Nations Environment Programme North America Office will co-host Circular North America, a WCEFonline side event.
This side event will gather over 100 policy-makers, innovators, businesses and Indigenous and civil society leaders from across Canada, the United States, and Mexico for a highly interactive discussion to identify opportunities for progress and innovation towards circularity in a North American context. The main conclusions of the event will inform a second side event in March, and potential activities and initiatives in North America in the lead up to the WCEF 2021.
MIT Solve designed and ran a global open innovation challenge on Circular Economy in 2019, and is building on that expertise to help design and facilitate the event. The side event is being organized in partnership with the Circular Economy Leadership Coalition, and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and will build on discussions from The journey to a circular economy in the Canada-US region, a WCEFonline session held September 29, 2020.
What you should know about the event:
Spaces are LIMITED – please keep us updated if you can no longer attend
The event is INTERACTIVE - you will be expected to share your experiences and opinions
There will be a Discussion Paper shared that participants should plan to READ IN ADVANCE of the event
