door at hause
an identification application for users to generate and share unique mobile keys to their portfolio door online.
A simple intuitive app to help users generate and share random tokens as keys connected to their private virtual doors containing identity information.
- Idea
The solution is easy for Individuals familiar with use of keys to open doors of private houses in real world or share the keys with people they authorised to open these doors.
Door At Hause generates randomised keys derived from a mix of local language familiar to the user, every after a functional or non functional purpose. A functional purpose is allocated batch identity access ideally by entities. A non-functional purpose is allocated single-use identity access ideally by individuals/shared group/ applications that require identity verification to logon to them.
Designing an identification app and giving users private keys to protect an individual’s personal data from misuse or unintended disclosure, empowerment to share with friends, family and organisations incase opportunity arises.
Door At Hause gives users total control and security over their data profiles. Blockchain is envisaged to be integrated into the application to add more transparency controls.
The QR codes can be embedded onto identity card to update identification systems. Among data included may be about trading history of the individual/citizen makes identity on economies of scale to increase their chances to access markets / opportunities.
The QR code once scanned opens Door at hause web platform that requests keys to access the identity data in conformity with profile on the identity card.
User simply queries keys from Door At Hause database application via USSD using mobile phone or via web app. Forexample keys with a mix of numbers, Nigeria's Igbo and Uganda's Luganda languages looks like ekwan'ma35-640kabulasoke. Nigerian User requests keys to access the identity of Ugandan User. Different people overcome language barriers learn more about native languages and cultures.
The keys open user's Door At Hause identity portfolio page that allows user to inspect, update, and correct personal data; view transparency regarding who has accessed their data and for what purpose; and report module helps seek redress for unauthorized use.
The solution is built with scale in consideration, and hope to introduce open APIs for developers to integrate and build for identity verification with regards querying user identity confirmation before access to opportunities or logon applications.
We propose to help users with a USSD connected platform in addition to Door at hause application. Users query for keys via USSD using their mobile phones and immediately receive response with unique keys generated from Door at hause application database.
Users may share the keys via sms to whoever they authorise access to their data for a particular purpose. Immediately the purpose is accomplished, the Door at hause application database updates with new unique keys waiting to be queried for another purpose.
We hope to negotiate with policy makers, government bodies and telecoms to subsidies data bundles specifically for cost effective Door at hause access by citizens and institutions and organisations.
Today in Uganda and many developing countries, telecom subscribers are sold special social media access data bundles. We believe when it comes to identification purposes, Door at hause access data bundles may be much more quickly adopted.

We propose organisations or institutions pay when requesting access to individual identity profiles of applicants or intended beneficiaries of opportunities. Door At Hause automates batch access random keys sent via text messages to targeted users to confirm on mobile via USSD so that these organizations or institutions access the identity of the users who confirm authorised access for specific functional purpose conducted on many basis for example analysis/ assessment to qualify for opportunities among others.
Ideally, organisations/institutions are charged for purpose fees per functional purpose. Also a batch access can go for USD $1 per user' who confirms his/her identity access. The cost is subject to change prior to terms and conditions at later date.
Helping billions of people in developing countries access opportunities prompted this application. Proper identity that leads to accessing life saving products and avenues that weather shocks in developing communities matters. 60% of the world's population is engaged in agriculture but one medical bill shifts an agribusiness middle income earner back to abject poverty, whereby income is affected by post harvest loss and inability to meet standards driven markets that require identification in permits and licenses.
Participation gives recognition that attracts opportunities to accelerate growth and development of the idea.
Implementation of USSD platform and blockchain are capital intensive ventures. Data bundles for application access on mobile browsers on phones of average citizen to update or inspect their identity data. Involving policy bodies, organisations, companies and Institutions. Computer illiteracy among citizens.
Prize money for the Mission Billion challenge is necessary to facilitate raising awareness, negotiations with policy makers and telecoms, acquire infrastructure and pull more resources.
